Beyond The Breakwater ( http://www.btbff.com ) is putting on a bass-bonito-barracuda fly-fishing tournament based out of San Diego, on Sept 27.

Hi Taylor,

Saturdy, June 12, 2010 - 3Bs (Bass Bonito Barracuda) - same location and general format as last year's event (http://www.btbff.com/index.php/btbff/1EMPS/760)

Saturday, August 28, 2010 - TYD (Tuna Yellowtail Dorado) - same location as last year's event (http://www.btbff.com/index.php/btbff/1EMPS/783), but I think I'm going to simplify the rules a bit.

This year we'll probably have an online webcast/Live Meeting version of the Captain's meeting, so people won't have to drive down to Dana Landing just for the meeting.

Hope to see more kayakers/paddleboard fishermen this year in the 3Bs. Last year there were three people doing kayak & paddleboard, so everyone took home a prize in that division!

In the 3Bs we had a bunch of door prizes (Oakley sunglasses, fly lines, etc.), goody bags, and prizes for 1 thru 3rd place for Boaters, Non-boaters, and kayak/paddleboard, PLUS a "big ticket" prize (an Abel Reel in both tournaments) that was done by random drawing. That meant you had a 1 in 25 shot of taking home a $800 fly reel in the 3Bs event. We also had a raffle for a TFO Axiom/LA reel + Scientific Anglers fly line.

Plus early dinner from Phil's was included. This year I'm thinking Mexican (El Indio) or Hawaiian BBQ.

I should have a 2010 3Bs page up soon. Hope you can make it!
